Hi my name is Chaske, but my foster family calls me “Thor”. I am a young, handsome, Alaskan Malamute mix boy who has the most beautiful red/orange coat in the neighborhood. I am under 2 years old and would really love a family of my own.

I love people and cookies of course.

I also love to go for walks

I love “my people”, but I really do not care for other dogs or cats. I would be a wonderful companion for someone who is looking for a active friend to be your one and only. I do love cows, but foster mom says I am not allowed to “play” with them.

“Dear Boss-

I wanted to let you know that I have been working diligently on ways to improve my efficiency and productivity. When I work through lunch (and there fore have to eat at my desk) I often find myself wasting valuable work time trying to figure out how to clean up all of the crumbs I drop on the floor. I have some wonderful news that could help to alleviate the problem.

My dog has happily agreed to come to work with me, sit under my desk and pick up all of the crumbs that may fall onto the floor.

Expert crumb picker upper.

She excels at this type of work and has had years of experience. Additionally, we are more than happy to carpool to work and to park in the same parking stall.

Spartan, Penske, Glitter, an Akita and some updates from Saturday.

Spartan and Penske were both adopted this Saturday!

Spartan was adopted by the family who adopted Surrey from us in 2007, (almost exactly 4 years ago). Surrey is one happy pup and now has little brother Spartan to make it even more fun!

Penske, who has been running in harness on recreational teams from Utah to Alaska, was also adopted.

Now he gets to go play in the snow, go for hikes and then come in for cookies and some serious couch surfing.

The beautiful Akita, now named “Lucy” was also adopted on Saturday, from SUVAS, by the foster home we sent in to pick her up. One lucky girl to be adopted into a wonderful home who truly understands her breed.

We also stopped in to check on Glitter, who is apparently really roughing it in her foster home

Tegan would like to thank the handsome Alaskan Malamute “Orca” for the new toys! Tegan is hoping that if her paw can fit into the slipper, that someone charming will come to take her home to a new palace.

Perhaps if I soak my paws in the pool they will fit into the slipper.

None of those things seemed to work

I guess I will just chew on the slipper instead.

Then I will go back to being a cute, adoptable, 7 month old, Husky puppy who is looking for someone charming to come take me home to their palace.

We are thinking about having a BBQ for all of the people who have adopted dogs from Arctic Rescue. Will keep everyone updated if we can put something together. Would be very cool to have some of the dogs who were adopted 12-13+ years ago come hang with some of the newbies.
