Chaske would like to thank Coast Pet Distributors and all of the compassionate people who have made donations so that he can have quality food while he is in rescue.

Many of the dogs we take into rescue have had poor diets and it shows in their coats, health and even behavior.  Part of rehabilitating the dogs we take into rescue includes providing them with a quality diet.  We would not be able to provide them with such great food if it was not for donations so we wanted to create a post to not only thank everyone who donates bags of food, but to also really demonstrate what the quality diet of our foster dogs can do to help them.

When Chaske was in the shelter and first came into rescue he was thin, his coat was VERY dry and brittle.

Chaske is “blowing his coat” or shedding in the above photos, but even the coat he is not shedding is sunburned, dried out and not shiny.

Quality food really does make a difference for our foster dogs, thanks to everyone who continues to support our homeless dogs.

Now that I look and feel so great, I am ready for a home of my own

I wanted to let you know that I have been working diligently on ways to improve my efficiency and productivity.  When I work through lunch (and there fore have to eat at my desk) I often find myself wasting valuable work time trying to figure out how to clean up all of the crumbs I drop on the floor.  I have some wonderful news that could help to alleviate the problem.

My dog has happily agreed to come to work with me, sit under my desk and pick up all of the crumbs that may fall onto the floor.

She excels at this type of work and has had years of experience.  Additionally, we are more than happy to carpool to work and to park in the same parking stall.

Spartan was adopted by the family who adopted Surrey from us in 2007, (almost exactly 4 years ago).  Surrey is one happy pup and now has little brother Spartan to make it even more fun!

Penske, who has been running in harness on recreational teams from Utah to Alaska, was also adopted.

Now he gets to go play in the snow, go for hikes and then come in for cookies and some serious couch surfing.

The beautiful Akita, now named “Lucy” was also adopted on Saturday, from SUVAS, by the foster home we sent in to pick her up.  One lucky girl to be adopted into a wonderful home who truly understands her breed.

We also stopped in to check on Glitter, who is apparently really roughing it in her foster home

Perhaps if I soak my paws in the pool they will fit into the slipper.

None of those things seemed to work

I guess I will just chew on the slipper instead.

Then I will go back to being a cute, adoptable, 7 month old, Husky puppy who is looking for someone charming to come take me home to their palace.
